I cannot believe another month has already come and gone, y’all! 2019 is flying by and I hope your year has been wonderful thus far. I’m excited to share another monthly favorites post with you today that features a few items I’ve enjoyed using over the past 30 days! This book took me a little while to get into, but with so many good reviews (and suggestions by y’all to read it on Facebook!), I kept going despite the slow start. However, once I was in, I was IN. The story captures your focus in the way a mystery does, but pulls at your heartstrings like a love story. If you are looking for a good beach read for Memorial Day Weekend, this is it!
I just ordered this because Quentin gets so irritated when I have bobby pins all over the place!! This time of year, I like to pull my hair back to keep it out of my face (it’s windy, y’all!) and my hair pins end up everywhere. This magnetic bobby pin holder keeps your hair pins in one place and at the ready so you can actually find more than one when you need them. Also, it has an insane amount of five star reviews, so I am giving it a shot!
Lilly Pulitzer Pens
Last year, when I was at the Creative Founders Conference, we received a Lilly Pulitzer ink pen for note taking and breakout sessions. At first, I was like “okay, cool,” another pen to keep up with… but then I started using it. It’s a ballpoint pen (my favorite) and writes like a dream! Thankfully, I went back to Pensacola in October for another round of SCF and received a second Lilly pen - haha! About two weeks ago, both of them ran out of ink and I PANICKED. Lucky for me, Amazon Prime has them so I ordered this multi pack to keep me in stock for a while! These are the pens I reach for when I’m taking notes on a call, making a to-do list, or writing down details for custom orders! Plus, they’re colorful… so it’s a win, win!
Q and I are always searching for new shows to watch - our favorites are Grey’s Anatomy and This is Us! We decided to give Designated Survivor a try and have FLOWN through the first two seasons - it is so intriguing! If you enjoy politics or suspenseful shows, this is a perfect Netflix option. We even got my parents hooked on it! It’s got a sort of West Wing meets Scandal vibe with politics, suspense, and a really likeable main character. Highly recommend!
Sally’s Baking Addiction Cookbooks
I get a LOT of questions about where I find recipes for baking. Over the years, I’ve done a lot of research, trial and error, and blog reading to find recipes that fit my taste, budget, and preferences! Without a doubt, the majority of recipes I try come from this cookbook from Sally’s Baking Addiction. Sally was one of the first food bloggers I followed on social media and I love basically everything she creates! If you’re new to baking or just want to have an arsenal of tried and true recipes, this is definitely one of my favorites.
That's it for this month, y'all! I'd love to know what you tried and loved in April so I can give it a try, too! Comment below and let me know what you're using and loving right now.
